After a terrible weekend with a toothache, Wendy got me right in to see Dr Ence. What a relief to get an immediate appointment! He determined that the tooth was not able to be saved and gently administered pain medicine and removed it. Gentle dentistry, always checking if I was alright, considerate but efficient, I was so impressed! I recommend Dr Ence to everyone. He should make his father proud!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Dr. Mark Ence and staff are. Not only are they all true professionals, but they treat everyone with such care and kindness. Always making time in an emergency if needed. Thanks Doc and team for everything, I appreciate you guys!!! ❤️❤️

The service and client relations are exceptional. I had an emergency on a holiday weekend and they worked with me very quickly. I felt very welcomed as I walked in and was treated very professionally even though I was not a regular client. I will be coming back.

I am one of those guys who is not good with needles or tooth drilling. I have had two procedures in two months and each time, Dr. Mark and the amazing staff are super attentive and very aware of what I need to make my appointments comfortable/less terrifying. A+. Thank you!

For the second time I have a molar that has a cap that for some reason came loose, again. In 30 minutes, Dr Mark Ence, after checking out the situation had the cap back on the tooth, cemented in place, and I was ready to go. thank you so much!

For years I have been having your hygienist Kathy Hentosh clean my teeth. She is always thorough, painless and professional. I can't imagine going to anyone else! The office staff are always pleasant and efficient. I highly recommend coming to Ence Dentistry.

Once again in Utah, and I chipped my front tooth. ( this was my 2nd experience with a Utah dentist) Lucky for me, even though the office was closed Dr James Ence was in the office doing computer work. What an awesome guy. I think he saw I was having a mini melt down. We still had 2 more days before heading back to Tennessee. He sanded the tooth and did a bonding fix. Very nice and made me feel very calm. I can see why he gets so many positive review. Thanks again for going above and beyond for me

I have a HUGE fear of the dentist. I get shaky and sick to my stomach just thinking about having to go into the Dentist.
I have not been to the Dentist in over 10 years so when my husband made me an appointment to have my teeth checked, I was nervous to say the least.
The first time I went in, it took me about 15 minutes to calm down and sit in the chair. I cried not knowing what to expect.
Amanda was AMAZING! She brought me a blanket and told me that I didn't need to worry. She talked me through everything and told me that she wouldn't do anything without talking to me first. She made sure I was comfortable before anything was started.

Dr. James Ence was incredible. He could see the worry and fear in my face. He held my hand and told me it would be okay. He assured me that the dental work that I needed done, would be done in a way that was comfortable to me.

I went in to the office 4 different times. I had a root canal, a tooth extraction, fillings and crowns. It was a LOT OF WORK being done on my teeth. I had to have additional medication to help keep me calm.

Each time I went into the office, Amanda was there to make sure I was calm and ready. Dr. Ence also made sure that I was completely comfortable with everything that he was going to do.

By the time I went in for my 4th visit, I was able to go in by myself and didn't need any additional medication to make me calm.

I don't think that I could have gotten through all the procedures without the support of the staff and Dr. Ence.

I am still a little hesitant about going into the Dentist. But after my experience with Ence Dentistry, I know I can go in and everything will be just fine.

I recommend Ence Dentistry to everyone I know. In my opinion, they are THE VERY BEST!!

Thank you Ence Dentistry for helping me get through all of my procedures and for helping keep me calm and relaxed. I can't thank you enough.

Mark Ence, DDS

Dr. Mark Ence went to school locally at Dixie State and Souther Utah University. He then attended University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry while living in San Francisco, graduating in 2008.

Dr. Mark Ence was born in Las Vegas and grew up in Santa Clara, Utah, where he attended Snow Canyon High school and met his wife, Tami. They were married after Mark served a mission in Chile. They have 3 wonderful (and crazy) boys.

Mark has enjoyed helping patients restore their smiles to full health while working inthe office with his father. Dr. Mark Ence is a member of the American Dental Assocation and Utah Dental Association.

Welcoming New Patients

We welcome all new patients and treat you as family in our practice. With services ranging from general dentistry to cosmetic smile makeovers, we work with children, teenagers, and adults.

Your first visit to Ence Dentistry will enable you to have a greater understanding of your own dental health. You will also get to know the Ence Dentistry Team who will be serving you. You will be given a comprehensive oral examination that includes X-rays and photographs of your teeth. The Dentist will then discuss the findings of the exam with you. This is a great time to ask any questions you would like. Our goal is to provide you with an enjoyable experience where you are an active participant in your own dental health and confident in your own customized treatment plan.
